Glastonbury 2013 456 arrests out of 153,000 people

Anyone ask for that to be stopped?

Re: Yes please stop the carnival
goose, that's correct, but not by request of the police.

The carnival organisers and local authority are very anal about this.

Much carnival related crime is not reported as such.

Re: Yes please stop the carnival
there were actually 15 stabbings not 5. Police only report stabbings within a certain 'zone' of the carnival.

Unless Red Stripe is brewed in NHG and all the jerked chickens grow there, along with mangos, coconuts & pineapples, I doubt very much of that 80 odd million stays in "the local economy" long enough to be of much benefit.

Re: Yes please stop the carnival
On a related but slightly tangential note, who funds the carnival?

Is it 100% self-funding or do the rest of us, via, say, a grant from the arts council or some other self-important Quango, dole out wads of austerity-strapped taxpayers' money?

Do the stewards work cash-in-hand or does it ALL go through the books?

Oh don't go, I've enjoyed watching you get in a state at what a complete melt and liar your mate is.

Shame he didn't take after his Dad, he might not have been scared of the dark and needed to make stories up about why he shit his pants at the carnival

You don't come across as someone who could afford a cab. Don't you just drive your 'house' to where you need to be?

Great making assumptions about people you've never met, isn't it? And all to appear hard on a fucking website full of people you've never met either. Says a lot about your character you fucking idiot.

As for my pal's dad, he survived a Wellington crash that put him in hospital for nine months and killed two of his best friends. When he got out of hospital he straight away took part in the allied invasion of Italy.

I think he could survive an afternoon without his boy holding his hand, don't you?

You're boring me now so I'll give you the last word. I've wasted enough time and oxygen on you already.

Re: Yes please stop the carnival
Maybe could call me a cab?

That's if your mate hasn't already booked it, as he's just realised it's dark and he's shitting his pants and so is using his sick Dad as an excuse to leave

Re: Yes please stop the carnival
Should I mention a relative that is a war hero and look as desperate as you and your scared of the dark mate?

Re: Yes please stop the carnival
"it was to look after his 92 year old dad who is a war hero and chairman of The Bomber Command Memorial Fund who has just got out of hospital."

FFS one of the most desperate things I've ever read on here

No taxi's go anywhere near the carnival, all the roads are closed, he would never have been at the carnival and rung a cab.

He sounds like a shit son as well, as if my old man was 92 and just out of hospital I'd have been with him not out at a place where I'd shit my pants.

You and your mate are a pair of melts
